What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Partnerships Manager position at Discord?
We are looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager who is passionate about building new partnerships that will accelerate our revenue initiatives. In this global role, you will bring passion and creativity in engaging with prospective partners across a variety of different industries - from gaming to consumer tech, digital media, and more. You will be responsible for identifying, sourcing and closing revenue-generating co-marketing and affiliate partnerships. You will interact with senior executives at our partner organizations and be a trusted evangelist for Discord’s products and priorities. Internally, you will be an advocate for our partners and bring the “voice of the partner” to inform cross-functional team discussions and business decisions. This role will report into the Head of Revenue and Product Partnerships.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the full life-cycle of partnership execution from initial partner engagement through deal structure, close and launch
- Make contact, cultivate relationships and build a pipeline with key decision-makers at potential partner companies
- Articulate and refine Discord value proposition, to secure partner commitments to enter into mutually beneficial, sustainable co-marketing and affiliate relationships
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop forecasts and models to measure the value and impact of potential partnerships
- Work with the account management team and cross-functional colleagues including finance, marketing, operations, legal and product to ensure partner success and achieve defined KPIs
- Research market trends with strategic companies and deliver feedback to internal stakeholders to drive product roadmap prioritization
What you should have
- 5 years of proven experience in strategic partnerships experience
- History of deal making experience including affiliate and co-marketing partnerships, as well as meaningful experience onboarding, cultivating and growing relationships (you) have sourced
- Proven ability to work with internal cross-functional teams (product and marketing) at early stages to define and articulate partner value within the context of Discord
- Knowledge of gaming, tech and gen z trends and an informed perspective on consumer applications of such trends
- The ability to inspire and engage senior-level executives
- Experience developing, growing and executing a pipeline of partnership prospects against semi-annual goals

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 to $191,000 equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
