Underwriting Assistant

Our company is looking to hire an underwriter. We will train the right person with no experience in underwriting. Our Underwriters are responsible for approval/decline decisions on incoming applications.

Job Duties:

• Review all Credit applications and supporting documents to ensure all necessary information is included for approval
• Research applicant’s employment and residential information to help determine the accuracy of application and documents
• Request additional information as needed on all documents to help determine decision on loan
• Ensure once all information is gathered that it is accurate, compliance standards are met, and it is in congruence with company policies
• Communicate and document reasons for approval or rejection of loan
• Ensure files are complete with proper documentation
• Process title and registrations
