Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Returns Associate II is primarily responsible for maintaining set productivity standards throughout the work day including meeting predetermined goals for quality and productivity.
This position requires a high level of cognitive decision making and regular use of numerous computer systems including internal and external communications.
Key Responsbiltities :
- Understand and apply cosmetic criteria for various remotes
- Identify and disposition different model numbers correctly
- Physically move product throughout the Returns floor as needed
- Palletize and remove empty boxes & foam containers from the Returns area
- Unload inbound boxes from trucks and / or pallets
- Sort plastic, cardboard, foam, and paper into different bins / conveyors for recycling or disposal
- Remove items from conveyors and sort based on pictures and / or training
- Build boxes for packing
- Use of electric or manual pallet jack
- Ensure that production and quality standards are met by verifying the tracking numbers and warranty information for products
- Ensure that LEAN / 5S and safety standards are maintained

Education and Experience :
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of previous experience using a computer
- Initial training and successful performance as a Returns Associate I or a lateral move from another department
- A minimum of 3 total certifications (1 at level II) OR a lateral move from another department
Skills and Qualifications :
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have strong written, verbal, and typing skills
- Sufficient visual acuity to detect abnormalities in the product
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
