What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Project Coordinator position at DISH?
The CAD Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining CAD templates, block/detail drawings, CAD library and as-built documentation in a fast paced environment within the telecommunications industry.
Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities regularly performed and normally assigned to this position are as follows:
- Interface with external vendors and clients, building relationships and assuring a strong customer focus.
- Will work with a multi-discipline engineering team and interact with other intercompany departments.
- Use CAD drafting software to prepare, modify and update zoning and construction drawing templates, blocks and details.
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, geotechnical reports, ALTA and topographic surveys to align planned drawings with planned projects.
- Coordinate with other internal team members on multidisciplinary projects, which often includes drafters, electrical and structural engineers.
- Resolve design and development problems.
- Responsible for quality and delivery of construction documentation.
- Capable and experienced in managing and performing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate with various A&E firms to maintain the template standards and updates as required.
- Detailed in managing, correcting, and monitoring the consistency of drawing standards
- Manage drawing blocks and details with the current manufacturer specifications being utilized.
- Support other teams to achieve specific goals.
A successful CAD Project Coordinator will possess the following qualifications and/or professional attributes:
- 3 years of experience in wireless communication site design
- Working Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Working Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Working knowledge of Google Office Suite
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate ability to think creatively and problem solve
- Ability to self-prioritize
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with leadership team, departmental staff, and external teams in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to train and mentor individuals who are new entrants into the wireless market place
- Excellent communication ability
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications
- Background in all, or some, of the following areas: Microwave, cellular, backfill transmission designs, site evaluation and selection, acquisition, zoning, construction and permitting
