As the Portfolio Scrum Master, you will be responsible for using agile management practices to direct Enterprise and Portfolio level initiatives across multiple teams to ensure that program level goals are attained.
Responsibilites:
- Serves, leads, coaches and supports multiple Agile Scrum teams and Agile Release Trains on high complexity initiatives consisting of onshore and offshore IT teams, business, and product stakeholders. Responsible for Feature delivery dates.
- Facilitates Scrum ceremonies and agile practices such as daily standups, Scrum of Scrums. Sprint planning or review meetings, story mapping sessions, cross team coordination, and portfolio level retrospectives and demos.
- Fosters an environment of continuous improvement and learning - drives improvement at the team and portfolio levels. Guides teams in achieving maturity in Agile principles and Scrum practices.
- Supports the Product Managers in feature refinement and Product Owners in managing backlog. Schedules and aligns teams to discussions and target dates for feature delivery. Maintains and draws upon deep relationships across the business, within IT, and external departments/service providers.
- Defines and documents Dish Agile best practices and Rally use.
- Provides ad hoc training for new employees and teams.
- Collaborate regularly with stakeholders to understand their goals, objectives, timelines in order to create and maintain a comprehensive capability roadmap to ensure development efforts align with the business needs and priorities.
- Conduct regular workshop reviews and iteration planning sessions with various IT teams to ensure alignment on scope and priority of work.
- Work with Technical Product Managers and IT development teams of each platform component to ensure that their roadmaps align with the overall roadmap.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- At least 7 years related work on Scrum teams or in project delivery
- Experience acting as a servant leader with strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Prior experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
- Proven track record of establishing strong team environments with high morale and team cohesion where team members constructively challenge each other, have a sense of ownership, and advocate for the right long term solution to any problem.
- Experience on teams delivering modern software solutions
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Thorough understanding of Rally project structures, hierarchy, and user maintenance
- Experience with management and program delivery of new product launches end to end
- Demonstrated cross-organizational communication across business and technical units
- Executive-level communication that encompasses roadmap reviews and presentations
Prefered Experience:
Scrum Master Certification- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Experience with 5G network-specific product use cases that correspond to core / value-added services
