What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales & Installation Technician position at DISH?
As a Home Technology Installer, you will be educating and connecting more consumers with each home you visit. We build our value around simplifying lives through treating the DISH install as a gate-way opportunity to consult homeowners on their infinite smart home possibilities.
By asking, “How can we provide value and a safer/smarter home for each client?”, we allow our customers to see the possibilities.
- Does the home have a camera or entry sensors for added security?
- Do they need any home automation and network?
- Can you help mount their TV or upgrade cable to provide the sharpest picture possible?
- Can you provide them with the newest option in home audio?
In this role you will work autonomously and Install products, while creating opportunities to sell them on new personalized smart home solutions. Installations could be as simple as a DISH satellite installation to things such as relocation of power, wall mounts, televisions, routers, cameras, receivers and whole-home connectivity technology in customer homes.

Skills, Experience and Requirements:All technicians must have:
- Ability to work in-person in multiple homes per day (this is not a work-from-home position; you will be in the field servicing customers’ homes)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time on ladders, lift over 70 lbs. at times, crawl into small spaces, work in all climates and remain within the individual weight requirement of 335 lbs
- Valid driver's license in the state you are seeking employment in, with a driving record that meets DISH's minimum safety standard.
- Resilience in the face of a fast-paced and changing environment
- Ability to pivot work hours; five/six-day workweeks may be required during peak seasonal times
