Process Enhancements
  • Provides analytical, data driven insight into the current state of the supply chain and uses that knowledge to recommend process and technological improvements.
  • Identifies and implement recommended process and technological improvements as approved by management and other supply chain stakeholders.
  • Documents workflows and key processes necessary to enable Disney+ operations.
Operational Support
  • Support operations and technology teams with content and data delivery required to power Disney+.
  • Bridges technical or process gaps through direct individual contribution. Stands up interim workflows or process improvements while a longer-term approach is implemented.
  • Acts as a central point of communication that is able to voice operational and process updates that are happening across multiple business units.
  • Leads cross organizational operations efforts on tracking, delivery, and content remediation.
Product Support
  • Supports net new requests from Disney+ Product teams and facilitates their integration into the pipeline.
  • Partners with DTCI Tech on systems development/enhancement initiatives; provides subject matter expertise to guide product development efforts; aid in backlog grooming, engineering design sessions, and UAT as necessary to ensure functional delivery to Operations teams.
  • Aids with rollout and training of technical enhancements inclusive of process, support model, and training.
  • Documents workflows and key processes necessary to enable Disney+ operations.

In addition, you will have worked with the Content Operations and Supply Chain team(s) to help identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in our processes. Skills Specialized knowledge
  • Basic data analysis (Excel)
  • Moderate experience with process design, data collection / mapping, and analysis.
  • Experience with SaaS-based project management and collaboration tools (Smart Sheets, Confluence, Jira, Gliffy/Lucid Chart.)
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodology.
  • Data analytics (SQL, Python, R, VBA)
  • Experience in agile development environments
  • Extensive understanding with the digital content supply chain framework, data flow, and distribution methodology (EIDR, licensing/avails, component-based delivery.)
  • Knowledge of Movie Labs Digital Distribution Framework (MDDF) – Common Metadata, Common Manifest, EMA Avails
  • Understanding of video and audio formats, streaming technology
  • Familiarity with XML
  • Familiarity with APIs
  • Familiarity with data modeling, databases, including SQL.
  • BA/BS from 4 year college
  • BA/BS from 4 year college with area of study in engineering, data science, information systems, operations, and/or media

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and enthusiastic person for the position of Manager, Operations Development. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Operations Development, this position exists within Disney+ Global Content Operations and is a cross-functional role that requires both a process-driven, operational mindset as well as extensive technological skill and aptitude. The role ensures that current operations are running smoothly as well advocates for intelligent process and technology improvements. Specifically, the Manager will be a subject matter expert in the process, content, technology, and teams involved in the flow of media and metadata.

The Manager, Operations Development provides tactical execution and strategic support necessary to power the data-driven workflows the interconnected digital supply chain that powers Disney+. They are a team player and will collaboratively work with Disney Streaming Services, DTCI Technology, Studio Operations, Production teams, Programming, and Licensing.

The ideal candidate is not afraid of rolling up their sleeves and diving in to work through complex, interdependent problems, then formulating corresponding solutions that make use of technology and operational components, all while taking into consideration impact across the supply chain.
