The Operations Manager at DC2 (Distribution Center 2) is a supervisory role to lead a certain aspect of a warehouse/distribution center daily operation, which could include customer service, inbound receiving, inventory management, inventory integrity, order fulfillment, put-away/replenishment, pricing, and housekeeping/sanitation for us. Lead Teamster Union hourly Cast Members (employees) as direct reports by coaching, mentoring, motivating, empowering, removing obstacles, and holding Cast accountable to overall job performance and Company procedures. Make productive and positive contributions to safety, 5S standards, customer service and performance for us.

You will report to Senior Operations Manager.
Responsibilities :
- Train Direct Reports: Safety, Regulatory, 5S, and Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all operating guidelines, safety regulations, and local union contract
- Monitor individual and team performance indicators
- Partner with internal leaders to ensure completion of daily tasks
- Daily operation checklists
- Daily payroll time entry adjustments/corrections
- Daily operation inspections and observations of Cast performance
- Manage inventory movement between separate storage facilities and within the main warehouse using manual and computerized inventory systems
- Review compiled inventory reports (quantity, type and value of materials, and stock on hand)
- Enhanced standard office software programs working with complex inventory software solutions
- Use computer hardware and associated software (i.e. database user interface and query, electronic mail, enterprise resource planning, inventory control, warehouse management systems, procurement, project management, spreadsheet,, presentation, human resources, financial and accounting, value stream mapping, process improvement)
- Run entire department (example: a closing shift), being on-site for Distribution Services and working/trouble shooting challenges in real-time as they occur to maintain business continuity (examples: automation downtimes, emergency incident responder, system downtimes, emergency orders)
Basic Qualifications :
- Experience with warehouse management system (WMS) - Automation and RF experience ; WCS (Warehouse Control System)
- Participate in a culture that builds relationships with Cast Members, peers, partners and customers to cultivate a team environment
- Well defined organizational tactics to complete projects concurrently
- Proficient in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
- Well defined approach to solving problems and continuous improvement process
- Manage conflict/resolution
- Well-developed coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills to achieve department goals
- Comfort with understanding and conveying written and verbal data and analysis to partners at all levels
- Weekend/Nights & Holiday Availability
- Demonstrate budget and scheduling management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in warehousing and distribution with 3 years of experience
- Understanding of business planning
- Experience understanding of a warehouse control system (WCS)
- Multilingual: English and one of the following; Spanish, French, Haitian Creole or Vietnamese
- Experience working in a Union environment. Understand union contracts and administer the guidelines fairly
- Track record for customer service
- Demonstrated project management skill and ability
- Demonstrated understanding of 5S and KAIZEN principles
Required Education :
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics or related field
Preferred Education :
- Master's degree
