Part Time Inventory Control Job Description

Position Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Reports To: Retail Management

Position Summary: One Plant is creating an educational and inviting atmosphere, where patients and customers can comfortably learn about cannabis and purchase cannabis products at the same time. This job operates in a professional retail store environment. This position works in conjunction with the current Inventory Control Specialist and has the responsibility to oversee all inventory movement performed in the retail dispensary. This role is vital in maintaining operations ensuring adequate levels of inventory to support sales and complying with state reporting requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receiving all medicated and non-medicated inventory and processing into inventory management system.
  • Input all inventory into the State track-and-trace system (METRC).
  • Ensuring accuracy of all invoices for product being received.
  • Quality control ensuring all products being received or in inventory meet certain safety and compliance standards set by the State and company.
  • Ensuring proper tracking and disposal of unusable cannabis goods.
  • Ensuring the oldest inventory is put out for sale first.
  • Maintaining good relationships with vendor partners.
  • Maintaining and consistently updating all in-store and online menu platforms.
  • Ensuring all inventory is accurately priced.
  • Conducting timely inventory audits and preparing reports for management.
  • Organize back-stock and perform inventory counts, investigating any discrepancies.
  • Organize and replenish stock on the sales floor and ensure the presence of the store is well maintained.
  • Adhere to all company-wide policies, process, procedures, and requirements
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment.
  • Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all HR policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the management team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Regular attendance
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends, and Holidays
  • Computer literate; familiarity using POS systems and able to use Microsoft Office.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age
  • Must pass be able to pass background check
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of cannabis and cannabis goods available for retail sale.
  • Understanding Local, State and Federal laws and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and must have a team-player mentality.
  • Ability to deal with problems and resolve them in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Ability to multitask and time manage.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, sit, and bend for a majority of their work schedule .
  • METRC experience preferred.
