SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate for this position will be providing Project Management, including Operational Facing Project Management, Client Facing Interaction, Project Take-offs, and ensuring projects are executing On Schedule and On Quality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead projects from design handoff to delivery
• Schedule kickoff meetings with Engineering department
• Review project plans and timelines; communicate action items to all stakeholders and monitor adherence to deadlines
• Take responsibility that client deliverables & deadlines are met
• Negotiate & coordinate with third party resources
• Coordinate material samples
• Create and maintain project files
• Manage resources; identify, negotiate and book external resources as needed
• Overall management of information to internal production departments as needed through kick-off and status meetings
• Partner with the shop lead to ensure all client needs are met
• Create Project Excellence through Proper Planning to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Maintain cost of materials below budget to ensure project profitability.
• Ensure internal teams have the required information to create excellence in their departments. Effectively and accurately understand Client’s budget and timing of projects
• Mastery of Displayit PM Tools
• Displayit Project Lifecycle
• Other tasks as directed.

Product Interface

• Verify dimensions on Engineer drawings match the dimensions from Design Drawings
• Verify Physical product dimensions match design drawings
• Get sign off on all design drawings from customer or appropriate party designated customer (ie – architect)
• Verify and approve appropriate quality of finished product
• Verify all aspects of product function as designed
• Obtain all client provided items from Customer – including: graphics, art files, etc
• Develop Relationship with clients to ensure timely responses for timely project execution.
• Provide project timeline to customer.

Inter Department Interface

• Utilize and Develop production schedule from project initiation with Sales Developer
• Understand and support departments with project timelines
• Schedule and attend inter-department turnover meetings
• Identify and provide solutions to pitfalls that will inhibit timely project completion

Customer Interface

• Provide samples to Customer.
• Provide production updates to customers through various communication initiatives, including email and photographs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent, one to two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Exhibit/Tradeshow, Millwork, Commercial Cabinetry, Metal Work, Finishing
• Project management experience in exhibits, museum, and retail and/or specialty construction/fabrication
• Construction background with knowledge of construction drawings, materials and supplies, field measurements and estimating skills a plus
• Strong Mathematical skills
• Demonstrated Project Management competencies: client focus, developing others, accountability for results, attention to detail, flexibility and team effectiveness
• Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
• Outstanding organizational ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
