What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Services Manager position at District 19 Community Services Board?
District 19 CSB is now hiring for an Emergency Services Manager. This position is to provide and assist oversight of all Emergency Services programs and the regional Crisis Assessment Centers (CAC). This position will provide support to the South Central CIT Program to include; attending CIT meetings and serving as an Instructor of the CIT Program and acting as a liaison to local law enforcement, hospital staff, DBHDS and other community stakeholders. This position has direct responsibility of the current grant funding and reporting of grants linked to the CAC services. Assist in overseeing and monitoring discharge assistance plan expenditures, monitor bed census and discharge processes. This position is responsible for pursuing and applying for funding streams through grant writing and increased allocation from participating localities.
The successful incumbent must have the ability to manage and supervise multiple programs and staff, including program planning, administration and evaluation.
Minimum required qualifications for this position include: Master’s degree with a major course of study in Human Services (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, or Rehabilitation Counseling), or a Master’s Degree with equivalent course credits in Human Services. Requires a License as a Clinical Social Worker or Professional Counselor. Certification as a Preadmission Screening Evaluator required. At least two years of clinical experience providing direct services to individual with a diagnosis of mental illness. Must have supervisory experience in the behavioral health field, previous experience providing crisis intervention, knowledge of the Code of Virginia in regards to Community Services Board mandates for preadmission screenings, temporary detention orders, and involuntary commitments. Must have knowledge of community and state hospital liaison programming including discharge planning and knowledge of Forensic and NGRI Case Management. Must have knowledge of available community resources. Must have intermediate computer skills to include experience with spreadsheets and word processing programs.
Prefer previous experience working/collaborating with law enforcement.
Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Some weekend, holiday, evening, and overnight hours required. Requires flexibility and on-call accessibility based on programmatic need.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate is preferred.
Position is a Grade 217. Minimum salary for this position is $63,509.00/annual.
Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening. Driver's License in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher.
