What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER (#1122) position at District Support Center - SPECIAL SERVICES?
Organize and supervise a districtwide multi-tiered support system to ensure that evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions are implemented and progress monitored with fidelity.
Work directly with the Special Education Director, ELD Director, School Psychologist, Principals, Special Education, Instructional Coaches and General Education Teachers to support the successful integration of the MTSS process.
Manages and implements behavioral interventions for students at tier 2 and 3 levels.
Individual and/or group counseling with students experiencing mental health or social difficulties.
Create an intervention/support plan for students with reoccurring behaviors.
Coordinate with Assistant Superintendent, Special Education Director, and ELD Director regarding MTSS-related professional development for school staff.
Preparing the social or developmental history of a child with a disability.
Assisting in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies.
Participating in special education assessment meetings as well as individual Educational Planning Meetings
