Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Menlo Park, CA, Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA
Duration: 6-12 Months
The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support FP&A activities including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
- Responsible for publishing monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages for Connectivity Finance and Business teams
- Partnering with the business partners to understand the associated costs of their plans – both short and long term
- Assist in developing dashboards for automating reporting
- Upload financial forecasts and budgets in Essbase
- Drive ad hoc financial analyses to support and to enable sound investment decisions
- Prepare and deliver presentations to cross-functional business partners
- Support process improvements in finance reporting, templates and processes
Top must-have HARD skills:
- Strong Financial Planning and Analysis Background Preferred
- Good communications skills
- Business Partnership Experience
- 6-8 years in total & relevant experience: 3-4 years minimum
- At least one of the following: BS/MS in Finance OR Accounting, MBA (Finance)
Preferred qualifications
- BA/BS in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting
- 4 years of relevant experience and 6-8 years in total
- Experience with Hyperiod Essbase, Tableau, SQL, Oracle Financials
- Experience in managing financial close/forecasting and budgeting process
- Understanding of telecommunications and infrastructure industry concepts
- Advanced experience in MS office/G-suite
- Experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools like Tableau
