Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and personable bartender to join our opening team at Divan, a new upscale steakhouse coming to Chicago's River North. Key Responsibilities:
- Craftsmanship and Mixology:
- Create and serve a diverse range of high-quality cocktails, ensuring consistency and adherence to established recipes.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in mixology to develop unique and signature drinks.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Provide attentive and personalized service to bar patrons, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
- Engage with guests, offering recommendations and providing detailed descriptions of beverage offerings.
- Wine and Beverage Knowledge:
- Possess a solid understanding of wines, spirits, and beer to assist guests with informed selections.
- Handle wine service with finesse, including bottle opening, pouring, presenting and storage.
- Upselling and Recommendations:
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques to promote premium beverages and encourage wine pairings.
- Enhance the guest experience by offering recommendations and upselling when appropriate.
- Team Collaboration:
