What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Home Administrator position at Dive Staffing Services?
Provided/Statement of Work/Deliverables
A. The Contractor shall deliver all goods and/or provide services on the premises of Western Maryland Hospital Center located at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742, unless other arrangements are pre-approved, in writing, by the Center.
B. Provision of forty (40) hours per week of Nursing Home Administrator services at the rate specified on Exhibit B for a duration of approximately three (3) months. Specific times will be determined by the Center. The Center may extend an assignment by such period of time as may be mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the Center.
C. The Nursing Home Administrator shall be responsible for the following duties:
1. Provide guidance and direction to Center staff on compliance with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation, Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR), and The Joint Commission’s Nursing Care Center standards.
2. Responsibility for implementation and enforcement of all provisions of the Patient’s Bill of Rights Regulations under COMAR 10.07.09.
3. Reviewing and approving plans, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance as well as quality controls and established and maintained.
4. Provide administrative and quality assurance oversight in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
5. Participate in Center committee meetings and other meetings as necessary to provide direction and guidance related to compliance.
D. Services shall be provided Sunday through Saturday, including official State of Maryland holidays, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST with occasional rotating weekend hours. These hours will be determined by the Center’s Contract Monitor. All scheduled work hours must be approved in advance by the Center.
E. The Contractor shall document time actually spent at the Center by signing in on arrival and signing out on departure. Payment will be based on hours actually spent providing services at the Center.
F. Following the completion of the Nursing Home Administrator’s travel assignment or extension, the Center may hire the Nursing Home Administrator on a travel to permanent basis per the fee structured described in Exhibit B.
G. The Contractor shall invoice the Center for services rendered under this contract in accordance with the Schedule of Rates outlined in Exhibit A & B of this contract, plus all applicable state and local taxes which may be payable by the Contractor, to include but not limited to sales/use tax, excise tax and gross receipts tax.
Requirements
The Contractor shall provide to WMHC a qualified Licensed Nursing Home Administrator as follows:
1. Must possess a current Maryland license to practice as a Nursing Home
Administrator or willing to work towards immediately. A copy of the license shall be maintained in the Administrator’s file and visibly displayed in the Lobby of the WMHC with the current license for the facility.
2. Three (3) years’ experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a facility with a minimum of thirty-five (35) beds. Provide references for the contact name and locations of previous experience.
3. Comply with the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) for Nursing Homes (10.07.02) and the standards of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Maryland Department of Health’s Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ) and The Joint Commission (Nursing Care Center).
4. Execute a Release of Information Form and identify any prior disciplinary action(s) by a licensing board for use by the WMHC in reviewing the candidate’s qualifications and background. The investigations include, but are not limited to the following:
a. Past work history
b. Character
c. Education
d. Military records
