Job Summary
Vuteq is an automotive supplier for a major automotive manufacturer, establishing a location in Madison, AL. We have an immediate need for a hands-on, customer-driven IT Systems Specialist. This position will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the company’s network infrastructure, as well as end user support. When IT duties are not required, the successful candidate will assist the project team in defining, planning, tracking and managing the project they are assigned. He/she will be responsible for providing the support required to meet project objectives.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and have 2-4 years of field experience troubleshooting all PC issues and basic network problems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the below essential duties and responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the networking hardware (servers and network specific systems)
- Manage and maintain the office network
- Drive antivirus initiatives
- Install and maintain office hardware, and wireless networks
- Provide incident resolution via phone, remote tools, and email
- Provide high quality customer service and network related technical support with an emphasis on issue resolution and quality
- Support Vuteq management in developing work instructions and processes for existing and future business
- Assist in establishing and maintaining schedules for new project development
- Evaluate processes for quality concerns and countermeasure.
- Evaluate processes for efficiency concerns and countermeasure.
- Maintain record keeping as required.
- Assist in problem solving and continuous improvements to production process.
- Other duties as required ensuring that Vuteq meets and exceeds our customer expectations and needs.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of network monitoring tools and advanced network security practices

Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good background and knowledge of IT systems, as well as experience in assisting with project planning and implementation
- Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Excellent organizational skills

Physical Effort and Requirements of this Position
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
