Unlike most of our competition, we do not act merely as a broker, sales representative, or project manager Instead, we fully control the process and work as a value-added partner every step of the way from early stage design, mid cycle value engineering, fabrication, and onsite field management Our 65,000 square foot facility contains a dedicated team and equipment to produce first class products with shorter lead times.
CAD Drafter will work in conjunction with Engineering manager, project managers and estimators to create accurate fabrication drawings using both AutoCAD and AlphaCam.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor or manager.
1) Creates shop drawings based on information provided by the customer and project manager, architectural drawings, construction specifications and other information.
2) Consults with Division 7 employees and vendors to create drawings.
3) Assesses/troubleshoots areas of vagueness in architectural drawings in conjunction with Project Manager to provide viable options for fabrication.
4) Remains flexible. Creates and fosters mutually beneficial relationships for Division 7, Project Manager and Division 7 customers.
5) Works with production personnel to handle problems in the plant. Confers with production staff in advance of orders to analyze special problems related to customer’s product.
6) Maintains working knowledge of fabrication limitations
7) Maintains accurate records of time allocation
Required Skills
1) Minimum of two years of previous experience as CAD drafter, CADCAM Programming or equivalent education.
2) High level of computer skills is mandatory (CADCAM Software, CNC Programming Software, Office Suite, Adobe)
3) Ability to accurately read architectural drawings and shop drawings.
4) Ability to meet and exceed deadlines
5) Good communication, reading, math, and reasoning skills
6) Ability to work independently and with other personnel.
7) Valid driver’s license and own transportation.
Preferred Skills
1) Manufacturing/Fabrication experience
2) Construction experience
3) CNC Programing experience
4) Bachelor's degree from a college; or two years related commercial construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
