Diz’s is looking for an experienced Bartender/Server. Diz's Cafe is a Family owned and operated Restaurant that serves Comfort Food and delicious beverages for Lunch and Supper until 9PM during the week, Breakfast, Lunch and Supper on Saturday's until 9PM and only Breakfast on Sunday's until Noon. Creating a great work/life balance!!
Our Servers are the first & last point of contact for our guests. At Diz’s,
Server responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times when
Host is not on duty, escorting customers to the dining area with Menus and
Silverware or to the counter to order Take Out. This position is also responsible for taking & ringing orders, running food from kitchen window to customer table, and assisting guests as needed. Servers make their own drinks unless it is an event night. We are looking for an experienced Bartender to join our team! This position must possess solid organizational and people skills to make sure guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. Ultimately, ensuring excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.

- Responsibilities
● Review and follow opening or closing check sheet
● Welcome guests to the venue
● Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists, if necessary
● Multi-tasking abilities; Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
- Direct & assist customers with ordering, menu choices & self-serve drink station
- Take & ring orders on TOAST Handheld
● Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
● Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
● Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests/modifications/allergies
● Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
● Maintain clean ‘customer view’ areas (including restrooms)
● Make your own drinks and help your colleagues make drinks
● Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
● Remove dirty dishes and utensils, if necessary, and clean table tops
● Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
● Greet customers upon their departure
● Support any/all other positions as needed
Requirements
- ● Previous work experience as Bartender and waitstaff.
- ● Understanding of restaurant etiquette
● Familiarity with health and safety regulations
● Demonstrable customer-service skills
● Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining area
● Availability to work in shifts as needed
● Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
● High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus
