Job Description Summary
This Healthcare Regulatory and Transactional Mid-Level Associate is expected to have 3-5 years of relevant experience and possess expertise in those aspects of health regulatory law applicable to the health care and life sciences industries including fraud and abuse, HIPAA, corporate practice of medicine, licensing, reimbursement, and assisting with the regulatory diligence and structuring of corporate transactions. As part of the team, the successful candidate will be exposed to counseling telehealth and digital health companies as well.
Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and possess superior analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
This position is open to all DLA Piper U.S. offices, with a preference for Washington, D.C. or Chicago.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
