DLA Piper is seeking a current third-year (3L) law student, with a demonstrated interest in litigation work to join our Baltimore Litigation practice, as part of our Professional Track Attorney program, in Spring 2023. Students must be entering their last semester of law school in Spring 2023. Prior experience with litigation work is strongly preferred.
This non-partnership track position allows you to participate in comprehensive training and development programs while working on client matters across cutting-edge practice, industry and regional disciplines – all with a reduced billable hours requirement. You will be immediately integrated into the litigation practice group and serve as an active and important member of that team from the moment you join us. We also offer the opportunity to support causes that impact our clients and the communities in which we live and work through pro bono representation. Strong performance can lead to other varied experiences within the practice that add to your skill set and build your base of client work while also expanding your sphere of influence and professional network.
Successful candidates will have high GPAs, top of class credentials, a strong undergraduate record and demonstrated a commitment to advancing their education and skillset through participation in journal activities, clinic work, moot court competition or similar activities. Preferred candidates also will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as part of a team. The ability to multi-task and prioritize is a requirement. Candidates will be required to be admitted to the state bar in the state of employment.
