Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 3 years’ compensation experience with specific experience in documenting job details, analyzing market data, and coordinating compensation administration
- Strong knowledge of compensation laws and regulations
- Ability to manage large volumes of data and report findings in a clear and concise manner
- Proficient computer skills in Excel
- Working knowledge of compensation principles, program practices, methodologies, and strategies
- Ability to analyze and interpret policies, practices, and procedures
- Ability to use computer technology for communication, data gathering, and reporting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other discipline related to the position
- Certified Compensation Professional
- Experience with Workday’s human capital management system and compensation module
What will your day look like?
As a Compensation Analyst, you will coordinate with managers on revising existing and new job descriptions to accurately reflect current roles, responsibilities, and requirements, and will maintain the job description database. You will participate in and complete various salary surveys on an annual basis through matching Firm and benchmark positions. You will use published and online surveys to obtain and analyze market pay rates to ensure competitive external and internal equity and manage compensation data and market survey sources through PayScale. You will work with the HRMS team to ensure data integrity in HRIS including updating job codes, markets, salary ranges, grades, and position competencies, and you will play an integral role in the transition and compensation administration in Workday.
Additionally, you will compile and provide compensation reports to Talent Acquisition, Finance, Talent Development, Payroll, and others, as needed. You will process promotions, off-cycle adjustments, spot recognition, and retention bonuses as needed via AskHR and Payroll, and will provide compensation memos as needed for employee status changes. You will also provide support to the Compensation Manager during annual bonus and merit forecast planning processes. You will assist the Director of Lawyer Compensation with tracking and processing attorney offer letters, researching market data for attorney and lawyer equivalent positions, and updating attorney status changes. You will perform other duties as assigned in support of the Firm’s total rewards initiatives.
