As an IT Operations Support Lead, you are responsible for leading and coaching a team in the Production Support and DevOps department that maintains and operates DLL’s North American applications. You will be responsible for the team that primarily configures, maintains, and supports DLL’s customer and vendor facing leasing applications, digital integrations, and business intelligence systems.
This is a hands-on role. You will be accountable for the stability, compliance, and security of your application area. Responsibilities include managing the development, testing, and delivery of production fixes as well as continuously improving systems and processes. You will be developing monitoring, automation, and DevOps processes.
The position requires someone who is self-driven, has excellent debugging skills, works well under pressure, and can work effectively with technical and non-technical people. This position offers opportunities to expand your technical skills and to move into other technical and/or analysis-oriented positions.
This position not only requires knowledge of SAFe/scrum/agile methodology and framework but also the ability to coordinate activities with teams and business units operating in an ad-hoc &/or waterfall manner. The knowledge of IT processes and supporting technologies, and how these technologies integrate within projects and the existing environments is a must.
Day to day
- Daily management of your team, which consists of in-house support personnel and offshore development contractors. Responsibility will primarily lie in the digital integrations, customer experience, and business intelligence areas.
- Managing the critical incident process and communications regarding progress and resolution.
- Hands-on problem solving in DLL’s applications.
- Design and develop system monitoring processes.
- Report on defects, problems, and changes.
- Ensure systems meet availability SLAs and issues are resolved within agreed upon targets.
- Assist in audit, security, and compliance activities.
- Develop & standardize Azure support and deployment capabilities for North America, particularly around deployments and cloud architecture.
- Recommend and implement improvements to systems, system development, and operations.
- Work with the development teams to enable new system functions to seamlessly transition from development to support.
- Support batch process schedules
- Coach and mentor team members for career development and ensure an engaged and motivated work environment.

Essentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of Information Technology experience in one or more development platforms/applications, industry specific custom applications, and other development frameworks & technologies.
- Ability to lead technology teams of 5-10 members with diverse technology experience and skills.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following: API development, TypeScript, Java, and/or .Net/C#.
- Understanding of DevOps and Cloud native applications.
- Excellent analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to coach team in analytical and structured approach to problem solving.
- Experience using Jira/Azure DevOps toolkits.
- Able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
- Able to give and receive open, honest feedback and to foster an open and inclusive environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent team player with proven ability to influence.
- Working knowledge of SAFe Agile is a plus.
- Experience in financial-related businesses is a plus.
- Possible Travel (10%).
