The Regional Leader is responsible for managing all aspects of practice for the Healthcare Sector within the Northeast Region all the while living DLR Group's core values and furthering an integrated design culture. The Regional Healthcare Leader is responsible for managing an integrated team of architects, interior designers, engineers, and planners to ensure quality of deliverables, setting scope and fees, and coordination with operations leader. The Regional Healthcare Leader is responsible for the financial health and development of discipline operations and is also the primary point of contact for coordination of integrated design team pursuits, proposals, fees, and interviews. Responsibility shall be to participate in both inward focusing (operations) and outward facing (marketing and business development in the Healthcare Sector first and across all DLR Group sectors).

Responsibilities
The essential functions below must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation on a daily basis. These are the core requirements of the position. All employees are required to work as part of a team and remain flexible in their duties and project assignments. The position requires being within the office at minimum of four (4) days per week, as well as periodic travel to other Healthcare locations within the Region, and occasionally outside the Region.
Core Responsibilities
· Co-report to Region Leader and Global Healthcare Leader.
· Billable Utilization Target: 63%
· Identify regional issues requiring global solutions and elevate to the Healthcare Forum
Participate in Healthcare Forum
· Participate in the Healthcare Forum and contribute to Forum initiatives and business planning.
· Actively communicate to the region all relevant Forum activities and operational tools and protocols.
Manage Regional Healthcare Team
· Direct or coordinate activities of AEPI (healthcare sector) employees including assignment of duties, responsibilities, and projects.
· Oversee or coordinate recruitment and hiring of AEPI (healthcare sector) employees to meet regional needs and growth targets.
· Ensure all new AEPI (healthcare sector) employees, including both new hires and employees joining DLR Group via M&A, receive consistent onboarding experience.
· Identify skillsets and areas for improvement within their discipline.
· Ensure staff have access to technical training, mentorship, and participate in the performance management process.
Manage Regional AEPI Team Outcomes
· Ensure regional team follows DLR Group's Quality Assurance processes and that Quality Control reviews are completed for all projects.
· Ensure regional healthcare team is aware, understands, and follows DLR Group's standards for all projects.
· Coordinate with Regional Sustainability Forum Leader and High Performance Design Leader in support of fulfilling our sustainability commitments on projects.
Secondary Responsibilities
· Support Project Managers by reviewing fees, workplans, schedules, and contracts.
· Support Regional Operations Leader to balance staffing and workload to achieve target billable utilization for regional team.
· Support all Regional Sector, Discipline, and Enterprise Forum Leaders to better achieve initiatives.
· Support Regional BD Leaders during RFP processes, developing proposals, and participating in project interviews.
· Actively engage in community and/or industry specific organizations that will build the DLR Group brand.
Minimum Qualifications
Regional Sector Leaders are expected to be strong leaders, have strong operations acumen, be good communicators, be sensitive to staff needs, and be able to translate standards into operational plans.
Your actions should promote DLR Group's vision of fostering a culture of transparency and equity. This includes equitable hiring, project assignments, compensation and promotion considerations, and mentoring.
Responsible for adding a Sustainability lens to every role description in our firm. So, hence the commitments/sustainability action plan suggestions
· Required Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related construction industry
· Preferred professional licensure in AIA Professional Licensure or certification in area of study
· Preferred healthcare accreditations such as American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA)
· Preferred Masters degree
· Preferred a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in relevant industry experience
