About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to focus specifically on the development of the Expense Management feature of our SaaS Telecom Expense Management (TEM) platform. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to gather and define business requirements, create detailed documentation, and ensure that the Expense Management feature aligns with the needs of our users. You will be instrumental in improving how businesses manage telecom costs, providing them with actionable insights through robust expense tracking and reporting tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to gather and document detailed business requirements for the Expense Management feature of the SaaS TEM platform.
- Feature Development Support: Collaborate with the product and development teams to translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Process Mapping: Develop process maps, workflows, and diagrams to illustrate current and future state processes for expense management within the platform.
- Data Analysis: Analyze telecom expense data and user behaviors to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement in the platform’s expense management capabilities.
- User Stories: Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria for the Expense Management feature, ensuring they are ready for development and aligned with the overall product roadmap.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with front-end and back-end development teams to ensure that features are implemented according to specifications and meet the needs of end-users.
- Testing and Validation: Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that new features meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for the Expense Management feature, including process flows, user guides, and technical specifications.
- Customer Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from customers and end-users to continuously refine and improve the Expense Management feature.
- Training and Support: Assist in training internal teams and customers on how to effectively use the Expense Management feature, ensuring smooth adoption and usage.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst working with SaaS platforms, with a focus on expense management or similar financial tracking systems.
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate telecom expense data to support decision-making and feature development.
- Documentation and Process Mapping: Experience creating detailed business documentation, including process maps, workflows, and user stories.
- Agile Development: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborating with development teams to deliver product features.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Telecom or Expense Management Experience: Familiarity with Telecom Expense Management (TEM) or experience working on financial, or expense tracking systems is highly preferred.
- SaaS Experience: Experience working on SaaS-based platforms in a B2B environment, particularly within telecom, finance, or IT management.
- Expense Management Tools: Experience with expense management, budgeting, or financial reporting tools that focus on cost tracking and optimization.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to report to or work in an office environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, including requirement documentation, testing, and meeting facilitation.
