What are the responsibilities and job description for the Urgent Injury Registration position at DMOS?

Do I want to do this job? You will be working on the second floor of a medical office. You will have multiple other team members around you and you will be patient facing. You will have conversations with strangers who may be in pain and need help. You will do intake, scheduling and coordinate insurance details for adults and children in need. You will gather and enter information accurately and quickly about patients, insurance and needs. You will help get them ready to see a provider. Our patients are hurting, so you are understanding that they may not always be super pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful. You work the hours for this position which are coordinators work alone and alongside others in the same role in an assigned shift, because, ultimately, we are all here to help patients.
Can I do this job? You must be able to be on the phone or sit at a desk for extended periods of time that may seem unnatural. You must have a high school diploma or GED. We will train entry level candidates with passion so don’t be deterred. If you have a degree in health sciences and want apply your knowledge to administration, this may be a good fit. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet. You have to be able to use your indoor voice and use confidential information for patient care only. Patient information that gets shared in clinic, stays in clinic. You can work Monday – Thursday: 9:30 AM– 6:00 pm, Friday – 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Rotating Saturday: 7:30 – 12:00 (rotating 1-2 every 6-8 weeks) and sometimes a patient may run late.
