What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Product Manager position at DMSi Software?
The Group Product Manager leads the overall product direction for one or more business process workstreams and leads a team of product managers to create successful, customer-centric products.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a business process workstream of the ERP platform.
- Responsible for internal and external communication of product roadmap and strategy.
- Coordinate product initiatives within the workstream and collaborate to coordinate initiatives across the company.
- Define objectives and success metrics to achieve alignment with company and product strategy.
- Analyze data, collaborate with customers, analyze industry trends, and perform other research to identify opportunities and prepare evidence-based business cases.
- Facilitate prioritization practices to maximize value to the business and customers.
- Form relationships with company leadership, internal and external stakeholders, and customers to gain insights and cultivate alignment.
- Lead a team of product managers by coaching, mentoring, and fostering skill and career development.
- Work with other group product managers to develop processes and techniques that create a culture of curiosity and innovation, promoting product thinking, user-centered design, and agile principles.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and user experience design to build outstanding products.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and service to ensure company readiness to launch and support new products and features

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
6 years in product management. Experience in ERP, building materials, or supply chain is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, accounting, MIS, other related fields, or equivalent work experience.
Experience leading product managers preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal office environment with the use of computers and telephone systems; no unusual physical demands.
