DNV's Maritime Business Development team provides strategic, regulatory, and policy advisory services related to the maritime markets, infrastructures, emerging technologies, and business models by continuously engaging with our stakeholders and increasing our market share.
To further grow our services in the Americas, DNV's Maritime team is seeking to fill the role of Business Development - Decarbonization Specialist. Maritime Region Americas has a primary responsibility for supporting customers in North and South America and is closely aligned by DNV's global business. The Business Development unit in DNV Maritime is deeply involved in defining and operationalizing DNV Maritime differentiation and growth strategies.
This position is a hybrid model role that will be based out of DNV's Katy, Texas office.
What You'll Do
Energy efficiency, decarbonization, new energy carries, and novel technologies in the Maritime Industry are key focus areas for our team in this respect. Now we are seeking a person in our unit who will work closely with our Regional Maritime Decarbonization Director and the global team to drive and support our customers, as well as many other stakeholders, e.g. industry associations, governments, and the public. The person will also work towards being a key subject matter expert with the DNV regional organization on these issues.

What is required:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or Equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years work experience in either a Maritime/shipping role or in a role focused on decarbonization, green energy transition, or alternative fuels.
- An interest to support Maritime decarbonization and to focus on new technology to drive innovation in the Maritime and energy industry.
- Demonstrate curiosity and desire to continue learning and evolving with the market
- An understanding of trends in decarbonization and digitalization
- Passion to meet with customers and explore their business needs
- Ability to work individually as well as in a collaborative environment with a diverse team and have a positive, team-oriented attitude and professional demeanor
