DNV s Energy Management Technology group is seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to define Agile business requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria, configure IT solutions, train users, and develop processes that scale. This work would be in support of DNV s implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act s (IRA) Home Rebate Programs in select states.

This position will ideally be based in any of our DNV offices. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
What You ll Do
- Lead the gathering of business and user focused requirements to support the product team including defining the backlog and grooming user stories and acceptance criteria while ensuring the user's perspective is represented
- Support the Product team and Product Owners to understand business needs for software, identify the best solutions for meeting the needs, and document software requirements
- Identify core business needs, break down and document operations into user stories, document business rules, and construct workflow diagrams, as needed
- Interview business stakeholders to gather detailed product requirements (scope, background, business case, etc.)
- Experience setting up processes for programs, including gathering and documenting program requirements
- Condense complex business processes into clear and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria
- Assist Product Owner with sprint grooming, user story development and prioritization
- Participate and facilitate Agile events and other agile activities
- Support the Product and Development teams by gathering additional details, answering business questions, and coordinating collaboration with business stakeholders to facilitate decisions
- Work across business lines, connect-the-dots on how to adapt best practices, and collaboratively scale processes and solutions across different client implementations
- Configure software systems used for tracking clean energy projects including technology details, user communication, workflow processing, and payment issuance
- Support the Analytics team with creating data visualizations/ reports to enable users to grasp concepts, identify patterns, and make better business decisions
- Document work instructions and training guides and best practice processes to provide guidance on business analysis processes as well as the end user experience with the software solutions
- Assist the QA team with the development of test cases and ongoing testing activities, clarifying acceptance criteria and use cases as needed to meet solution expectations
- Collaborate with program business units and IT, Data Science, & Product Management to support the development of the EVOLVE product roadmap based on client requirements
- Manage projects, including client interaction, developing project plans, and supporting analytics offerings
- Assess current and repetitive issues and make recommendations for future system or process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce future problems with operations and analytics
- Participate in change request process and escalate changes for approval, if necessary
Position Qualifications
What is Required
- Bachelor s degree engineering, business, mathematics, statistics, finance, computer programming or related field
- At least 4 years of prior work experience in business analysis, project management, and solution delivery
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Experienced user of MS Office Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deliverables, and remaining flexible
- Experience working with Agile methodology including defining requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and testing solutions
- The successful candidate should also have excellent written and oral communication skills, and is able to translate complex concepts concisely
- Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders - users, team members, and management
- Able to understand and synthesize complex processes into concise solutions
- Presentation and training experience is required
- Most importantly, this individual should display a positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and New York City Salary Transparency Law, DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado or New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado and New York City, NY only, the range of starting yearly salary for this role is $80,000.00- $90,000.00.
