Local Unit & Position Description
The SFM is accountable for oversight, management, support, follow-up, and improvement the financial and commercial activities of the operational units within their allocated geographical remit, in accordance wit DNV Inspection strategies and budgets.
They will ensure an appropriate financial control environment is established and maintained within their geographical remit and ensure that DNV Inspection principles, processes and systems are appropriately followed by the business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and managing annual budget process
- Managing the quarterly forecasting process
- Managing month-end and year-end close processes and associated reporting
- Preparation, review, and approval (in line with DNV Inspection Chart of Authority limits) of commercial bids, and support the Sales and Operations teams in proposal processes
- Oversight on working capital management and driving processes in-country to improve working capital balances
- Systems implementation and support to Operations teams to ensire and improve data quality that drives first-class management information
- Awareness of local tax and financial legislation to ensure commercial tendering and daily operations have any potential financial exposure adequately covered
- Support financial and commercial awareness training requirements for both finance and non-finance personnel
- Ad hoc activities as directed by the FCD, Managing Director and Director of Operations from as required

Position Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience include:
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- 10 years' experience of internation financial management of resources, delivered remotely and on-site at a senior level
- Proven ability to drive systems, processes and controls
- Commercial mindset
- Experience of Oracle Finance
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to manage under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Flexible team player, willing to do whatever is needed to deliver tasks

DNV Inspection is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager (SFM) to join the Finance & Commercial team based in the UK.
Reporting directly to the Finance & Commercial Director (FCD), the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for remotely overseeing and managing the day-to-day financial operations and reporting for the operational units within a defined geographical area. In conjunction with the FCD, the SFM will also be responsible for executing, monitoring, and advising the Sales & Operations teams on commercial strategies.
The SFM shall support and promote a commercial mindset in the IBU as a means to secure its independent role and continuing profitability, and also to drive business efficiency by supporting systems use and process development.
