We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, inspirational culinary Pastry Cook to join our Pastry Team in our Metro Detroit.
What you’ll do:
You have passion and flare in using the best ingredients, producing everything from baking traditional confectionary to assist in managing the daily preparation and production of all pastry food while working as part of a dynamic and lively team. You have experience gained in various pastry kitchens along with excellent communication skills. You make things happen and exceed expectations while you will become a positive ambassador for DO&CO.

A day as a Pastry Cook:
Bake and prepare pastry items according to specification/recipe.
Monitor wastage and complete assigned tasks on multiple station within the given time in order to meet strict deadlines.
Keep immediate work area clean at all times and perform other duties as assigned by
the supervisor
Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team
Who you are
Minimum of 2 year of experience in Pastry/Bakery preferably with large production volume
Knowledge of baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times.
Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field is desirable
