You are responsible for: Formulating and being accountable for the overall roadmap/program/project plan, in consultation with management and other parties. Building and maintaining the project organization, determining the ways of working, and defining key interfaces. Identifying and driving changes in ways of working from project management perspective both at R&D Project Office and NPIs Mentoring and coaching several Program Managers and project engineers Defining projects and their goals, organizes the resources to be used (time, budget and information) and specifies quality standards Defining the risk of the project/program and develops scenarios to mitigate these risks. Ensuring proper execution vs the project/program plan. Deploying Process Improvement and Quality Assurance and makes the project organization efficient and transparent, in line with departmental and project processes. Providing management and stakeholders with regular roadmap/project/program performance status, variances to plan and identification of corrective actions, reports on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal and conducts evaluation at the end of the projects. Coordinating effective communication/change management strategies for projects/programs as appropriate. Ensuring effective transfer/archiving of the project/program results and the associated intellectual capital. Keeping up-to-date with technical basics and new technology, in order to optimize the goals of each project and maximize the synergy between the projects You are a part of: A dynamic and rewarding career opportunity for a Director – Program Management in new product development in the Ultrasound R&D organization! We have product development activities taking place across multiple locations in the United States and around the world. You will be working in our Ultrasound R&D group located in our Bothell, WA site as part of a global development team with engineers and managers collocated in Bothell, WA as well as Cambridge, MA and Bangalore, India. You will get to work with the best engineers in medical ultrasound and develop ultrasound products that are helping to save lives every day. To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following skills and experience: BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. 10 years of relevant working experience, including experience of owning/leading software and hardware projects from idea through implementation with evidence of business impact Experience with Ultrasound/medical devices and/or working in a regulated environment Experience in strategic planning and road mapping exercises Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including with engineers, project leaders, and functional managers. Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills. Experience as a Scrum Master is a plus. Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a plus. Experience with working in a cross-site environment is a plus. US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
