Job Title: Territory Manager - CCE
Reports To: General Manager
Territory Manager – Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) will be responsible for the sale, rental, or leasing of all new and used John Deere, CCE and "all-makes" equipment, parts, and service. The Territory Manager - CCE will be responsible for developing partnerships with current and potential clients to grow John Deere equipment Market Share in their given territory.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Grow and develop customer relationships and loyalty to increase market share
- Maintain a contact management type database for designated territory
- Quote and negotiate prices and credit terms, prepare contracts and record and close orders
- Keep accurate and up to date call logs, prospect lists and mileage information
- Manage and maximize rental conversions
- Sell CCE whole goods, parts and service as a customer solution and build long term relationships with assigned accounts to maximize customer and company profitability
- Meet or exceed Company targets for units, dollars, and gross profit
- Manage designated territories and customers to maximize our presence on equipment purchases
- Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support
- Responsible for securing CCE business; related to but not limited to, demonstrating CCE products, assisting in technical presentations, offering consultative assistance in areas of machine specifications, attachments, etc. based on customer type and individual applications of machinery.
- Make frequent opportunity calls and generate new customers
- Work with customers and potential customers to provide solutions to their equipment needs
- Sell parts or service to enhance the after-sale value of our product and to insure return business
- Manage and control sales related expenses
- Manage market awareness and provide lost sales reports
- Sell allied support services such as PM’s, undercarriage repair and replacement, and on-site fueling
- Provide status report to sales manager as to achievement of goals and objectives
- Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special deals
- Provide feedback to other departments
- Provide trade-in information when requested
- Other duties as assigned

Education:
- College degree preferred but not required
- Heavy equipment sales experience preferred - may be substituted or combined with education

Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:
College degree preferred. Heavy equipment sales experience may be substituted or combined with education.
Organization and communication skills must be highly developed. Computer skills need to be broad based.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
This person must possess a valid driver’s license.
