What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Dobreff & Dobreff PC?
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SELF-MOTIVATED AND QUALIFIED LEGAL BOOKKEEPER TO JOIN OUR FAST-PACED TRIAL LITIGATION PLAINTIFF'S FIRM.
We are a diverse practice, including personal injury insurance, corporations and partnerships breakups, entertainment law, and other litigation. The candidate must have a team-oriented attitude and be able to reliably work a 9:00 to 5:00 schedule Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years’ experience working as a legal bookkeeper. Additionally, the candidate MUST be proficient with QuickBooks and pro-rata settlement distributions.
As a member of our staff, you would also be interacting with clients, attorneys, and the courts during the course of a business day.
Pay commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare settlement breakdowns
- Prepare pro rata settlement distributions
- Communicate with providers regarding pro rata distributions
- Type and send correspondence regarding pro rata distributions
- Organize and keep track of incoming checks for providers
- Answer and direct phone calls
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and pro-rata settlement distributions
- Strong computer literacy
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $1.00 per hour
