Overview:
The Deck at Dockside and Dockside Restaurant in York Harbor are seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. While 2-3 years of experience is preferred, we are open to training the right candidate. Availability through mid-October is required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve drinks
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check customers' identification and confirm legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Upsell drinks and promote specials
- Monitor customer intake to prevent overconsumption and ensure safety
Skills:
- Proficiency in POS systems, specifically toast
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and beer varieties
- Experience with cash handling and sales
- Strong bartending skills, including mixing cocktails and pouring drinks
- Excellent time management to handle multiple orders efficiently
- Familiarity with food handling procedures
- Hospitality mindset to provide exceptional customer service
