As an Area Manager, you will play a critical role spearheading growth, process improvement initiatives, own full profit and loss responsibility, and train, mentor and promote future leaders.
- Audit, analyze revenue targets, operational processes and expense controls for all assigned practices in territory.
- Review daily production schedule with Office Managers to assist with appropriate staffing levels and expense controls.
- Develop, train and direct team members utilizing sound operating principles and company policies and procedures.
- Determine causes of low performance from available data and reports and take appropriate action to determine and execute a course of action.
- Study operations where cost standards are not met to problem solve and correct in concert with Office Managers and Regional Manager.
- Coach and develop teamwork in the practices to attain regional objectives.
- Ensure good housekeeping at the practice level.
- Ensure or conduct month-end physical inventory of raw materials, supplies and finished goods.
- Conduct or ensure completion of safety audits in assigned practices.
- Additional projects and/or responsibilities, as assigned.
- A minimum of seven years (7) years of dental management experience in a fast-paced environment or a minimum of five years (5) of experience in a lead clinical dental position and four years (4) of management experience
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Real ID prior to starting.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Must exercise diplomacy, discretion, sound judgement, leadership and flexibility in varying situations, and must maintain confidentiality
- Ability to conduct oral and written presentations
- Excellent organization and time management skills required
- Self-paced initiative with the ability to prioritize daily/weekly/monthly schedules
- Able to independently plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and make decisions relating to assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems software including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Ability to travel within assigned territory
- Experienced with coaching and training multi-unit/multi-practice supervisory experience utilizing various methods
- Able to contribute both individually and a part of a team
- Able to work flexible hours including early morning and evening hours with some weekends required
