In preparation for our new services under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP), we are currently searching for dedicated optometric technicians to work with us providing services to the military during health assessment events.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care and eye examinations.
- Educate patients on the care and maintenance of lenses.
- Explain the testing process to patients, prepare them, and administer tests on visual capabilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree as an optometric technician – a plus
- Optometric technician certification – a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Self-motivation, and ability to work under pressure
- Available for weekends and occasional weekdays
- Passionate, friendly, and caring
- Must have weekend availability
- Experience working with military - preferred
