What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technician position at Doctors Immedicare?
Our urgent care family practice clinic is seeking a Radiologic Technologist who can perform and analyze patient x-rays and report results to our physician team. Assist Medical Assistant on various tasks regarding patient care.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology
Experience: Preferred, but not required One year full time experience as a Radiological Technologist
Licensure: Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
Certification: Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Radiologic Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the clinic manager.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assesses requisition for the appropriateness of the procedure
- Asks patient to state name and verify name
- Explains the procedure
- Performs quality control activities to ensure optimal quality radiographs
- Troubleshoots and reports equipment problems to supervisor
- Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines
- Assist in all departments when not performing x-rays, such as patient care, checking patients in, referrals, appointment reminders
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
- Essential Functions:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work as a team member
- Skilled in the operation of stationary & portable radiologic equipment
- Basic understanding of computer technology
- Perform all duties using proper body mechanics.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to follow directions/instructions from his/her supervisor.
- Consistent attendance is required to assure that the client facilities’ needs and patient needs are met.
- To comply with all client facilities’ policies, procedures and practices
