Dodge County Assessor

Vacancy :

The Dodge County Board of Supervisors of Dodge County, Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for full-time Dodge County Assessor to complete the 4-year term ending January 2027.

Applicants will need to hold a County Assessor Certificate. The successful candidate will be required to reside within Dodge County.

The appropriate candidate must be familiar with the responsibilities of the position and have education, skills, and / or experience in at least the following areas :

Description :

  • Administer the assessment statutes of Nebraska Law
  • Establish and maintain fair and equitable values for real and personal property within the county
  • Prepare abstracts of assessments and certification of taxes levies for the State Property Tax Administrator
  • Maintain cadastral records (i.e., parcel maps) on all property in the county
  • Prepare annual tax roll for the County Treasurer
  • Review applications for religious, charitable, and educational exemptions
  • Attend all meetings of the County Board of Equalization
