Dog Tag Inc is hiring an innovative and eager Annual Fund Coordinator. In collaboration with the Director of Development, the Annual Fund Coordinator works for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of Annual Fund donors (donors giving $350 - $9,999). This position manages donation data and the gift acknowledgement process for Annual Fund donors, ensuring that all Annual Fund donors receive timely and accurate acknowledgements and recognition and all benefits to which they are entitled, while also providing administrative support to the Director of Development and the Grants Manager. Within this role, the Annual Fund Coordinator will proactively research and identify prospective partners and foster relationships with current and future donors.
This position requires routine onsite work in DC although it will be primarily remote. Key Responsibilities & Duties
Maintain a secure and accurate nonprofit CRM database with records of all donors personal information, including preferences, pledges, sponsorships, and gifts.
Track donor performance for the Development team and participate in strategy discussions to maximize revenue based on giving trends and data within the database.
Collaborate with Development team to create, implement, and evaluate strategies that lead to sound donor cultivation, prospecting segmenting, acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship.
Manage direct mail campaigns and communications by facilitating list parameters, segmentation, and generation; oversee the print coordination, mail and fulfillment timelines with internal staff and external vendors.
Keep an accurate and up-to-date email marketing database for electronic solicitations and communications.
Bi-monthly donation reconciliation working alongside the finance department to ensure donations are all recorded properly.
Collaborate with the Programs Team to ensure all data regarding fellows, alumni, and learning lab partners is accurate and up-to-date.
Create and implement an annual strategy for cultivating and stewarding donors through mailings, social media, events, targeted appeals, email, and other innovative techniques that can attract a diverse range of donor.
Remain up to date on the latest fundraising techniques to attract new donors and adopt new practices to further the Dog Tag’s fundraising goals.
Along with the Director of Development, manage a pipeline of donors to welcome supporters in at every level and further leverage their generosity.
Recommend development process modifications.
As workload allows, grow a small portfolio of individual donors.
Qualifications
1-3 years of prior experience in a similar field.
Bachelor’s Degree or up to 2 years of related work experience.
Successful applicants must show demonstrated past experience with Salesforce/other CRM and Microsoft Excel and a very high level of attention to detail.
Serve as staff liaison with the finance team to ensure batch reports, disbursement reports, and monthly reports/reconciliation are completed in a timely manner.
Implement strategies and procedures for database hygiene and maintenance, including periodic audits to track database cleanup efforts.

Love for clean and accurate databases.
Ability to respond to immediate needs for information such as financials, lists and reports in a short turnaround.
Interoffice coordination skills.
Experience doing desk research on individuals and foundations as prospective funders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive/Gmail, and social media platforms preferred.
