You are the face and voice of our business! The primary role of the Afternoon Front Desk Customer Service position is to oversee all functions of the front desk and the store as a whole in regard to customer service, communicating with pet parents, managing all paperwork, checking customers in and out, handling refunds, resolving issues, and communicating with management concerning these issues. You have to mantain a positive professional demeanor, exhibit strong leadership skills to guide the team in the back.
As the Afternoon Front Desk Customer Service, whoever is selected to fill the position should be able to complete their job duties to the best of their ability within the following parameters;
Skills and traits:
1. Loves dogs and comfortable working with dogs. Dog daycare/boarding/spa experience preferred but not required. Comparable positions would be health care, salon, or another fast-paced, shift oriented company structure.
2. Two years successful front desk experience, responsible for running the front of the office or business. References required.
3. Strong communication skills. Able to talk with both clients and employees in a positive professional manner and resolve issues in a positive solution-oriented way.
4. Able to work afternoons M-F from 1:00pm to as late as 8:30PM (average end time 7:30PM). Able to manage working hours to meet the needs of the work requirements as well as the needs of the store. Part-time from 20-36 hours per week
5. Organized and detail oriented; able to balance multiple tasks and multiple deadlines and prioritize workload.
6. Able to step-in to fill other roles such as canine coach and rover as needed, which might include standing, walking, bending, grasping and other physical requirements.
5. Computer literate and able to use email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and all Dogtopia apps (Pet Exec, Orange Book, and Lead dashboard). Able to gather data and conduct financial reporting for the store.
7. A team player with management skills in dealing with both employees and clients. mature and able to mentor. Open to feedback with a desire to grow and excel.
8. Continuing education to include Dogtopia Connect training for all positions
Duties:
1. Answer the phone, take messages, transfer calls, speak with customers, determine their needs, anticipate issues, and make appointments as requested.
2. Check customers in and out using a computer based point of sale system. Handle refunds and trouble shoot problems in orders.
3. Develop relationships with customers. Know their names and their dog's name. Be able to provide the best suggestions for services based on their needs.
2. Do light cleaning at the end of your shift to include the lobby, desk area, hallway and bathroom.
3. Fully understand the Dogtopia model, the store policies regarding daycare, boarding, and spa services and able to communicate those effectively in a positive way to the customer
4. Fully able to explain the benefits of our services and how they will meet the needs of the client. Communicate with customers and handle issues that arise in the afternoon with professionalism and communicate with GM and Operations Manager
There will be a 90-day probationary period immediately following this promotion; at the end of that time, the General Manager will conduct a review to discuss your performance. There is opportunity for advancement. Hourly pay comenserate with experience.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
