Overview:

IFA Franchisee of the year Dogtopia of Olathe, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services is looking for a leader who is an energetic self-starter, organized, professional individual to join and lead our team as a Full-time Manager and help us grow. This is very much a hybrid role that will consist of various responsibilities depending on the day. These include man management, scheduling, running operations, working the front desk, doing in room shift work, recruiting, interviewing, and maintaining our training program for all team members. It is a key role within our business where we work hard to deliver top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care.

Management work

• Leads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team – oriented culture
• Set weekly goals to hit revenue target
• Maintains controllable expenses within budgetary constraints including forecasting, tracking, and ordering supplies, minimizing payroll, and actively for ways to maximize efficiency
• Create staffing schedule and monitors daily schedules
• Maintain optimum staffing and development with all employees
• Conduct regular team meetings
• Delivers written performance reviews and give employees positive acknowledgement when due
• Onboard all employees and insure they have the correct amount of training

Relationship management and sales work

• Giving tours of the facility and answering questions
• Selling our services
• Upselling (Baths, nail trims, etc.)
• Following up with future customers and addressing issues with existing customers

Administrative work

• Checking customers in/out and collecting payments
• Answer phone calls and emails
• Scheduling appointments in our point-of-sale systems

Operational work

• Occasionally work in playrooms
• Constantly monitor playrooms to maintain a safe level of play for dogs in an open play environment
• Monitor canine coaches to ensure proper protocols are being followed consistently
• Training and teaching our standards to new and existing employees
• Clean and Safe Environment to ensure our furry friends are always in a safe and clean environment - We take pride in working as a team to get all the nitty gritty complete
• Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards.

Qualifications

• Prior Manager experience (minimum 1 year Required)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• US work authorization (Required)
