Dolci Amori is a gourmet, high end Italian pastry shop with four locations in Chicago. Dolci Amori is born out of a love for traditional and authentic gourmet Italian and European pastries, but we operate with a corresponding passion for finding new flavors and methods to produce the best pastry experience possible.

You will create Italian Pastries and be trained on Dolci Amori’s exceptional product quality and creativity in a positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment. Experience: 2 years of experience
Job Requirements:
-City of Chicago Food Handler certification (Advanced level pastry cooks would be required to obtain a City of Chicago Certified Foodservice Manager certificate)
-Must possess a basic knowledge of weight and volume conversions
-Must be able to follow and complete a defined production list
-Ability to produce a quality product from a scratch recipe on a consistent basis
-Outstanding interpersonal communication skills; be able to collaborate with a team
-Must possess the ability to work under pressure and with a sense of urgency; be flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly growing environment
-Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks
-Must have the desire to continue learning, accept feedback to improve performance and be willing to share your own ideas
-Understanding food costs and cost control principles is preferred.
-Basic to moderate knowledge of operating all pastry equipment and of pastry fundamentals, methods, and techniques is required.
Job Functions:
-Contributes to and oversees pastry production and baking.
-Maintain efficient inventory practices for ordering, receiving and storing of products to maximize production while controlling costs
-Train, supervise, schedule and support pastry team (currently 10-15 people)
-Identify abilities of staff to assign/expand roles based on performance
-Ensure equipment is maintained and staff operate properly and safely
-Establish standards for consistent organization and cleanliness of facility
-Scale and mix ingredients, prepare and execute orders
-Perform daily quality checks on products and production processes to consistently create the best output
-Document best practices and successes
-Performs other duties as assigned
