What You’ll Do:

• Resident Satisfaction: Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere for residents by addressing their maintenance concerns promptly and professionally.
• Taking Care of Business: Plan, schedule, and oversee all maintenance and repair activities within the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.
• Money Matters: Keep an eye on the cash flow by handling the maintenance budget. Estimate costs, track expenses, and find ways to save.
• Emergency Hero: Be our hero during tough times. Develop plans to handle emergencies like power outages or bad weather.
• Lend a Hand: Assist with equipment maintenance and help out with occasional tasks like repairing wheelchairs and medical equipment.

What You Bring:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures, including plumbing, electrical, HVAX, and general building maintenance. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to facility maintenance.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in facility maintenance: long-term care facility, hospital, or senior living experience is preferred.
• Positive Attitude: Maintain an optimistic and uplifting demeanor even in challenging situations. Quality is vital for fostering a harmonious work environment, enhancing resident well-being, and promoting effective teamwork within a senior citizen care facility.

Working Conditions: A Maintenance Assistant at Dominion Senior Living is expected to handle maintenance and repairs needed around the community. This role may involve physical demands, collaboration with various teams, adherence to safety protocols, multitasking, and interacting with residents and their families. 

Physical Demands: The Maintenance Assistant at Dominion Senior Living are responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks within the senior living facility. These tasks often require physical demands, such as bending, lifting, and operating equipment. Maintenance Assistant may need to perform hands-on work to ensure that the facility remains in optimal condition for the well-being of the residents. The physical demands of the role entail the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders or stairs, and perform tasks that require physical dexterity. This includes tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and conducting general maintenance work throughout the facility. Given the nature of the senior living environment, where resident safety and comfort are paramount. Additionally, they are expected to adhere to safety protocols and use protective equipment when necessary to ensure both their own safety and the safety of others in the facility.
