Architect – Construction Administration/Quality Control

POSITION SUMMARY: Dominium is seeking a highly motivated Architect to support a new in-house architecture division at our corporate office located in Plymouth, MN. An ideal candidate would have background in multi-family new construction and renovation projects. Experience working on tax-credit housing projects with housing agencies is a plus.

• Works closely with the Architectural Project Managers and Architect – Specifications & Quality Control, in executing and filing submittals during construction phase.
• Assists Architect – Specifications & Quality Control, in creating specification standards and executing them into projects
• Travels to all project sites throughout the United States during the construction phase.
• Creates draw walk notes and pay applications based on monthly draw walks.
• Reviews punchlist site walks and creates punchlists along with Certificate of Substantial Completion.
• Work will consist of approximately 80% Construction Administration and 20% Specifications for work overflow.
• Works closely with the Construction team to produce documents that will be efficient, consistent, and contractor friendly.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to work with and advise project teams.

• Professional Degree (M.Arch or B.Arch), registered Architect preferred.
• CSI CDT, and/or CSI CCS certifications preferred, but not required.
• 7 years of experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word), AIA software a plus.
• Knowledge of Procore construction and specification software a plus
• Experience coordinating with other internal team members and external consultants.
• Experience working with housing agencies and tax credit housing experience a plus.
• Experience in new construction and renovation of multi-family housing projects a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Work environment is an indoor office environment with 75% sitting, 15% standing and 10% walking.
• Ability to travel up to 75%, both local and nationally.
