arkansas.gov / jobs / 4073033 DescriptionHEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALISTJob Description : Reporting to the Safety Manager, this position 's primary function isto : Perform all Industrial Hygiene activities to include testing, recordkeeping, and program management to include atmospheric monitoringprogram and equipment.
Deliver hands on training on all company safety policies to includemobile equipment training.Become a subject matter expert on mills safety policies and programsas to be a resource to mill employees.
Assist with the mills emergency response policies and program andmaintain emergency response equipment.Provide direction to employees on all matters of safety, health andsecurity as related to the mill.
Be proactive in nature towards safety related matters.Assist in contractor management of onsite contractors.Adhere to HPI / HOP methodology.
Recommend / implement control to eliminate hazards found in theworkplace through IH testing or other job activities.Perform other duties as required.
These duties will includeafter-hours response to safety issues.Bachelor 's Degree or equivalent safety related work experienceA working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and healthregulations.
Applicant must be customer service oriented; have excellent skillsin oral and written communications; possess good negotiationsskills;
