Donahue & Sons, a leading provider of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for commercial solar fields, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team. As the Supervisor in charge of vegetation management, you will play a crucial role in preserving the integrity and efficiency of solar sites through effective landscaping practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a crew of skilled technicians in performing vegetation management tasks across multiple solar field sites.
- Oversee and execute routine maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, and weed control, utilizing various types of mowers, weedwhackers, trucks, and trailers.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with project managers and provide regular progress reports.
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions for vegetation management challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and crew productivity.
- Assist in the training and development of team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping or vegetation management is essential.
- Proficient knowledge of operating different types of mowers, weedwhackers, trucks, and trailers.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a crew, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
