What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector position at Doncasters?
Doncasters Storms Forge is looking to add an Inspector to join our Second Shiftteam in Springfield, MA.
The Inspector willperform and complete detailed inspection of forged parts using various hand tools, gages and associated test equipment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection using hand tools, gages and associated test equipment
- Assist and perform NDT inspections
- Read and interpret Blue Prints
- Perform Hardness testing using Rockwell / Brinell
- Able to compile data and prepare reports (e.g. First Article's, Detailed Inspection Plans)
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment
- Assist with the calibration of quality control equipment
- Organize and retain inspection documentation electronically
- Performs a variety of other duties of equal or lesser complexity as required by the position or as assigned by the Quality Manager

Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent organizational skills
- 2 years of manufacturing/quality experience is preferred
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Level 2 MPI / FPI preferred
- Basic familiarization with industry specifications
Salary : $36,700 - $46,400
