Donco Companies is seeking a Controller to oversee and manage all accounting functions of their growing companies while working closely with Operations and Leadership.
Locally owned and family-run, Since 1979, Donco, Inc. has been serving the Southeastern United States with all of their Division 10 needs.
Doing new work, alterations and interior fit-ups for the public and private sectors, some of our specialties include: ADA complaint toilet partitions, bathroom accessories, lockers, chalk and tack boards, projection screens, storage systems, mirrors and shower doors.
Responsibilities:
· Manage all accounting operations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll for multiple companies.
· Complete and process all invoices and billings in accordance with project requirements.
· Process and complete all accounts payable.
· Maintain accurate vendor records, and strong vendor relationships.
· Complete monthly reconciliations for all accounts.
· Develop and complete month-end process.
· Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
· Work closely with Operations to develop and prepare WIP reports.
· Process payroll.
· Assist outside CPA firm with preparation of all local and federal tax filings and reporting requirements.
· Manage cash and cash analysis, prepare cash flow statements, ensure adequate control and management of all cash related functions.
· Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems in accordance with GAAP
· Manage multiple property accounts, contracts, payments, expenses, etc.
· Partner with CEO to develop annual budget and sales forecast.
· Implement and/or improve policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)
· Construction accounting experience (Preferred)
· QuickBooks experience and/or familiarity with construction accounting software.
· Strong proficiency and aptitude for applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
· Ability to contribute to strategic planning and execution.
· Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize key responsibilities.
