Location
DOROT is a hybrid work environment where team members work part-time onsite and part- time remotely. The Program Coordinator will report to the headquarters located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and should expect to be in the office at least two days a week.

About Onsite & Special Programs (OSP) and Aging Alone, Together™
DOROT’s Onsite & Special Programs department provides diverse, impactful programs for our community of over 3,000 older adults. Aging Alone, Together™ is part of the Lasting Impressions portfolio within the Onsite & Special Programs department. This six-week workshop provides solo agers with the tools, strategies, and support to age successfully and plan for the future. Each session offers a topic-specific presentation with video, coaching, and guidance on critical decision-making, along with conversation, personalized check-ins, and assignments. During the sessions, participants share experiences, support one another, and build community. Post-session alumni gatherings, programs on related medical, legal, and housing issues, as well as formal and informal social support groups and networks extend learning and community building opportunities.
About the Opportunity
The Coordinator of Aging Alone, Together™ is an integral new position created to build capacity for DOROT’s programmatic expansion plans. This person will play a major role in implementing Aging Alone, Together™ sessions and growth strategies. They will also contribute to other impactful goals including increasing the number and diversity of individuals served; updating educational curricula and materials; developing educational and community building opportunities for alumni; and cultivating new community-based and national partners. The ideal candidate is a highly proactive and critical thinker who has a track record of creative problem solving and a passion for working with older adults. They possess program management experience, good judgment, and strong client engagement skills.
What You’ll Do
The Coordinator is responsible for the following in addition to any other projects as assigned by their manager, the Manager, Lasting Impressions:
Program Development & Management
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of DOROT’s Aging Alone, Together™ program:
- Create a robust schedule of virtual, in-person, and partner-program offerings
- Recruit and train corps of volunteer facilitators
- Monitor and guide sessions ensuring alignment with DOROT’s mission and programmatic goals
- Serve as first point of contact for participants, alumni, facilitators, and programmatic partners.
- Create robust post-session educational and community building opportunities for alumni, including programs with legal and medical experts, alumni meet-ups (virtual and in-person), and empowerment groups.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Lasting Impressions on the development of new curricular materials, including videos, workbook, resource guide, and web portal.
- Maintain up-to-date resources for solo agers that includes medical, legal, housing, and other information and tools.
- Input client and program participation data using DOROT’s Constituent Information Management System (Salesforce platform); conduct monthly review of metrics to ensure meeting of program goals and grant deliverables.
Partnership Development
- Identify and develop partnerships with community-based organizations to scale Aging Alone, Together™ model and diversify the population that DOROT serves.
- Partner with other departments to meet agency-wide objectives and foster collaboration, including:
- With the Marketing team, develop and execute strategies to grow our participant base, including reaching new and diverse audiences.
- With the Program Impact and Evaluation department, survey and assess programs and their impact on participants; refine offerings based on findings.
- With the Advancement team, generate materials for grant proposals and reports.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. LMSW degree preferred
- Up to 5 years of professional experience in program coordination, social services, nonprofit management, or other related field
- Experience working with older adults preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or another database
- Availability to work occasional evening and weekend hours
