What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Specialist position at Dosal Tobacco Corporation?

The quality specialist is responsible for performing material inspections, quality assessments, quality inspections, wet chemistry testing, and particle size testing, including but not limited to moisture analysis, sieve analysis, and simple statistical analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
· Perform material sampling and in-process inspections.
· Perform wet chemistry testing and statistical analysis.
· Receive and inspect incoming materials, bulk products, components, and finished products.
· Perform Line clearance verification of the manufacturing area assigned and inspection of related documentation.
· Handle the retain samples or any sample requested.
· Review the batch records and make required corrections upon request.
· Collect all the supporting documents and taking pictures during the receiving process.
· Notify Quality leadership of any discrepancy or deviations from the established processes and provide support to the investigation team.
· Perform an AQL as required to support the product quality and perform 100% inspection when necessary.
· Review and compare COA results with the raw material specifications, prepare product release documentation, and document it in SAP.
· Assist Quality leadership with the revision of Standard Operating Procedures upon request.
· Conduct SAP transactions as part of the inspection’s procedure.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a scientific discipline or related.
- Previous experience in a Quality role or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing quality and/or technical documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with internal and external partners at all levels.
- Strong computer skills, organizational skills, and ability to follow up.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
- Knowledge and experience in cGMP experience, ISO 9000, and/or FDA
- Bilingual

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time, non - exempt position. Regular days and hours of work are Monday through Friday (weekly rotation, 5:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., 2:30 pm – 11 pm).
· Available to work weekends when required (infrequently).
